Abe Erickson

Just a Guy Trying to Figure It All Out

About Mike

To tell you a little about myself, I married my beautiful wife in 2006 and very shortly thereafter we decided I should “get me some learnin’”.  So we packed up our bags and moved to and currently live in Utah where I attend Weber State University as a pre-dental student pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Microbilogy and a minor in Chemistry.

Not only am I a science geek, but I love vocal performance. I have been part of the Momon Choir of Washington, the Northern Virginia Institue Choir, the Weber State Concert Choir, and I have participated in the Selected Opera Scenes class. For Puccini’s opera “La Boehem” I had the privilege of playing the part of Rodolfo, a tenor part. I perform service in my church as the Choir Director and the Music Director.

Abe and I met in Fredericskburg, VA. We would often talk about current events and politics, but I heavily relied on Abe as a source of information. When I moved to Utah, Abe and I continued our long dicussions about current events. Finding new ways to better organize my time as a college student and seeing the rapid changes in our society, I felt the need to do more and more of my own research. Shortly after the primary’s were over and still before the final Presidential elections, Abe said to me, “Mike, by this time next year you will not be able to recognize America.” I responded somberly, “Abe, I can not recognize it now.” Abe and I had no clue how fast things would change; they have changed much, much faster than he or I could ever imagine. He and I continued having lengthy phone calls which became more rewarding as I did more of my own research and began to bring a more informed opinion to the table. These calls became very entertaining to the both of us and we decided to share these conversations, albeit in a more organized way, to our audience (which we someday hope to have).  If not, oh well, Abe and I will have lots of fun doing this show.
